1990s Cancel North American Tour
5/25/2009 By Brock Thiessen

If you were hoping to catch Glaswegian three-piece 1990s on the band's North American trek, you’ll be disappointed to know that the band have cancelled  their upcoming tour. According to the group, all U.S. and Canadian dates scheduled to begin later this month are a no-go "due to some unforeseen circumstances."

In a message on the band’s website, the 1990s’ Dino Bardot writes: “Due to unforeseen circumstances we’ve had to cancel our upcoming US tour. We feel really dreadful about this… Our apologies to everyone who was looking forward to coming along and seeing us… Hopefully we’ll be able to rearrange for later on in the year…”

We’re assuming refunds will be available at all points of purchase.

Here are the dates affected:

5/27 Philadelphia, PA - Johnny Brenda's
5/28 New York, NY - Mercury Lounge
5/29 Washington, DC - Rock and Roll Hotel
5/30 Brooklyn, NY - Southpaw
6/1 Allson, MA - Great Scott
6/2 Montreal, QC - Le Petit Campus
6/3 Toronto, ON - Horseshoe Tavern
6/5 Chicago, IL - Schubas Tavern
6/6 St Paul, MN - Turf Club
6/10 Seattle, WA - Neumo's
6/11 Portland, OR - Berbati's Pan
6/13 San Francisco, CA - Bottom of the Hill
6/14 Costa Mesa, CA - Detroit Bar

For Jully Black, hard work has unquestionably paid off. By stepping out — breaking out — of the career-limiting confines of "Canadian R&B singer," the vivacious Black has drawn her own map, blazed her own trail, and apparently arrived at sustainable success.
