Liars Set to Release New Album in Early 2010

Following their self-titled 2008 effort and a winning stint at Sled Island 2009, experimental New York sound sculptors Liars have unveiled some cryptic messages that hint at a new album in early 2010.

As pointed out by One Thirty BPM [via Tiny Mix Tapes], the band have quietly started promoting a new LP, likely called Sisterworld.

For starters, they updated their MySpace page with a number of new images, and some abstract, picturesque videos. The page also links to a site at thesisterworld.com. That site includes the same videos, and links back to the official Liars page.

What’s more, Liars' publicist at Mute also confirmed to Exclaim! that the band will indeed be releasing a new album in the beginning of 2010. Although she says it’s anyone’s guess as to what it will sound like. Stay tuned for more details.
