Voivod Team Up with Kreator for Joint North American Tour
11/26/2009 By Greg Pratt

Quebec metal heroes Voivod have had a pretty darn good year, releasing their last studio album with late guitarist Piggy and getting some good touring action in with stoner metal kings Down. Now, holy mother of shit, they’ve announced a tour with German thrash legends Kreator. And, yes, it’s coming to Canada.

Seriously, this is a thrash metal fan’s wet dream. Like, “Noise Records is fucking awesome and where’s my VHS copy of that concert vid with all the thrash metal bands with the name that’s hard to remember?” awesome.

The March tour with Kreator marks the first time in almost 20 years Voivod have toured the U.S. with vocalist Snake and bassist Blacky from the band’s classic line-up. See below for tour dates.

In related news, Voivod’s 2009 effort, Infini, also recently got some pretty big kudos from us here at Exclaim!, landing at the number five position on our hallowed year-end list of heavy releases.
