5/31/2007 By Cam Lindsay

In one of those "it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye" moments, the life of Tiësto, the dance/electronic world's version of Nickelback, has been threatened by the terrorist organisation Fatah AL-Islam - who just so happen to be part of the Al Qaeda network.

Scheduled to perform in Beirut on July 2, the bubblegum trance DJ has been targeted by the terrorists - enter joke here as to why. But in all seriousness folks, Lebanon has been subjected to recent terrorist activity, suggesting a massive outdoor event as such would be an easy target. Shakira was recently scheduled to do a similar event, but cancelled without reason.

The news report reads as follows: "Rumors have emerged that Fatah al-Islam has directly threatened to kill DJ Tiësto if dares to show up for his planned July 2 concert in Beirut. The Dutch DJ has been voted as the world's best for the past several years. On October 1, 2005, Tiësto broke records when he made his long awaited debut in Beirut. Over 16,000 showed up to party with their beloved Tiësto at Forum de Beirut, in what was been coined the largest event ever in the Middle East."

An in-depth look at the man, the legend they call Tiësto at work:
