Múm Reveal New Album Details, Tour Canada, U.S. and the World
7/7/2009 By Josiah Hughes

Icelandic twee-lectro weirdoes Múm have revealed the details for their previously announced sixth album. The record, their follow-up to 2007’s Go Go Smear the Poison Ivy, is titled Sing Along to Songs You Don't Know, and will be out August 24 via Morr Music.

The album has been in the works for a few years, with many of the songs having appeared in the band’s live show since their Poison Ivy touring cycle. And with titles like “The Smell of Today Is Sweet Like Breastmilk in the Wind,” you know you can expect the same out-there content you love, or hate.

A number of fans can also catch their sweet breastmilk live, as Múm have announced a pretty hefty summer/fall tour. From July to September, the group will be performing a bevy of European dates. Then they’ll hit up North America with some shows across the continent, including Canadian dates in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.

The 30-year-old violin genius didn't name his third full-length album Heartland for nothing. It's all blood, guts, emotion, and his own money that Pallett's poured into the epic, orchestral release, a project that was four years in the making, and according to some anxious and critical fans, long overdue....
