The Coast Robbed in Victoria
3/31/2008 By Cam Lindsay

Touring's a bitch. On the first night of their spring Canadian tour, the Coast were victims of the latest smash'n'grab robbery. While inside the Lucky Bar in Victoria, BC (Canada's eighth most dangerous city, according to a recent Macleans study), the Toronto-based band's van was reportedly broken into during their set. Thankfully because they were inside performing, none of the band's gear was taken, which means the incident will not affect their tour. However, a number of possessions were nicked, including clothing, numerous laptops and various electronics.

If you happen to know anything about the theft or happen to be the criminal behind this looking to fess up, you can either contact the band through their manager Ben Buchanan or by sending them a message through their MySpace account.

On a brighter note, the Coast's debut full-length, Expatriate, is released tomorrow (April 1) through Aporia Records. It can also be heard in full on their MySpace page.
